California Correctional Center - health care facility improvement program

California Correctional Center (CCC) is an adult male prison with custody Level I, II, and III inmates, located in the City of Susanville, Lassen County, California. The project includes four sub-projects to remedy the deficiencies in the health care components established by the California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) Program, which included construction of new buildings, renovation of existing buildings, infrastructure, and ancillary improvements. The sub-projects are designed to meet Green Building Code requirements and the USGBC LEED® Silver certification. The projects include Primary Care Clinic renovation and addition, a new Minimum Support Facility (MSF) Primary Care Clinic, and Central Health Services renovation and addition.

This project provides primary care exam rooms, workrooms, medical distribution, dental operatory, LVN alcove, lab draw, telemed exam, physical therapy, optical services, and other support spaces. The Central Health Services is designed to provide specialty clinics and an appropriate Treatment & Triage Area (TTA) to provide specialty clinical services and consultation emergency treatment to the entire CCC inmate-patient population. The projects are designed in accordance with multiple standards and guidelines using Building Information Modeling (BIM).
