Founding Partner, David G. Fong has over 40 years of professional experience. As a sensitive, people-oriented designer, he guides Fong & Chan Architects with a unique aesthetic vision and believes that the design must satisfy both the rational and emotional needs of the occupant. His view of each design as not only a practical, problem solving endeavor but also as an expressive work of art results in design solutions that are unparalleled in their effect on the human spirit. David's exceptional designs have been featured in numerous published articles, and have resulted in more than eighty national and statewide design awards.

David is committed to the education of young architects through his participation in architectural lectures and through his endowment of architectural scholarships.

The Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum and the Society of Architectural Historians in Washington, D.C. are currently considering David G. Fong for his career achievements as an Asian American Architect.
